PROJECTS
Project Title: Efficient Tools for Polishing Spherical Glassware (Efektivní nástroje pro leštění sférických skleněných výrobků)
Realization date: 1/2022 - 6/2022
Provider: Department of Regional Development and European Projects
Area of support: Regional development
Program: 2.2 Regional innovation program
Project number: OLP/3427/2021
The project was supported by the Subsidy Fund of the Liberec Region.
As part of the project, a technological procedure was developed and optimized, which will make it possible to achieve sufficient quality for polishing and the geometry of the glass workpiece. A functional sample of a tool for polishing spherical surfaces was created. The goal of the project was to achieve automation of the production process and the intervention of workers only during start-up and subsequent inspection.
SUPŠS in Železné Brod was specifically involved in the work on the project.

Project name: CNC technology for the processing of glass products with complicated shapes and dimensions (Technologie CNC opracování tvarově a rozměrově komplikovaných výrobků ze skla)
Solution period: 03/2020 - 12/2022
Provider: Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic
Program: APPLICATIONS, Call VII
The Ministry of Industry and Trade as the governing body of the Operational Program Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Competitiveness (hereinafter referred to as the "subsidy provider" or "MPO") based on the request for the provision of a subsidy received on 15.1.2020 as part of the Call for APPLICATIONS - CALL VII. (hereinafter referred to as the "Call") and Priority axis PO-1 "Development of research and development for innovation", decided according to § 14m paragraph 1 letter a) of Act No. 218/2000 Coll., on budgetary rules and on the amendment of some related laws, as amended
of later regulations (hereinafter referred to as "budgetary rules"), on the provision of a subsidy for the project named
"Technology of CNC machining of glass products with complicated shapes and dimensions", registration number CZ.01.1.02/0.0/0.0/19_262/0020108

Project name: Precise deterministic lapping (Precizní deterministické lapování)
Implementation date: 5/2020 - 3/2021
Provider: Department of Regional Development and European Projects
Area of support: Regional development
Program: 2.2 Regional innovation program
The project was supported by the Subsidy Fund of the Liberec Region. As part of the project, a technological procedure for the automated production of a glass prism with dimensions of 692x80x80 mm was successfully developed.

Project title: Development of technology to suppress unwanted specific structures arising during the CNC machining process of precise aspherical and free-form optical surfaces (Vývoj technologie pro potlačení nežádoucích specifických struktur vznikajících při procesu CNC obrábění přesných asférických a free-form optických ploch)
Solution period: 01/2017 - 9/2019
Provider: Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic
Program: APPLICATIONS, Business and Innovation Operational Program for Competitiveness (OP PIK)

In the second half of 2019, we successfully solved the project "Rapid iterative generation of large optical elements" (Rapidní iterativní generování velkých optických elementů). The project was supported by the Subsidy Fund of the Liberec Region. As part of the project, the production of large convex and concave surfaces from a glass substrate was verified. Several geometries of increasing complexity were tested during the project. The R500 concave lens geometry created in a 340x340x40 mm glass block was selected as a technology demonstrator. A working sample of this lens has been created. This geometry was chosen after consultation with the customer (TOPTEC ÚFP AS ČR) as a complicated case of a large order, when it is necessary to quickly remove a large amount of material with sufficient accuracy during processing. Required maximum deviation from the prescribed shape 0.1 mm (ie radius R=500 mm ±2% and deviation from the spherical shape in this tolerance less than 0.1 mm). In this way, the customer obtains an ideal input blank for subsequent lapping and precise polishing.
