If you are determined to give it a try, then we have the following recommended guide for you. Do the "nail test", i.e. run your fingernail over the scratch. If it is noticeable, then it is a scratch that should be sanded out first, which is not a good idea for the above reason. If it is just a fine, hair scraper, you can try polishing it with a felt disc and Cerox 1650 polishing powder (or Cerox 2610, which is less concentrated and will take longer to polish). You fix the disc in the drill on the screw between the washers. Dilute the powder with water to make a thicker mud. You apply it to the disc and polish from the side of the disc, not the front, that's where you have the screw. If the suspension dries, spray it with water.
